A BRIEF HISTORY OF TAINTED FATE
A BRIEF HISTORY
The year was 1983 when a band out of Liverpool, England came to the United States, much like The Beatles did. However, they had NO following at all.
The name of the band was Diamond Cutt, with members Hilary Leigh, Dano Zenith, Tom Katt, and Zeke Wyrich (aka Tiko Montana). Never getting off the ground Diamond Cutt played a few simple shows and then just fizzled away.
Later that same year, Tiko (Zeke at the time) put together a reformation of Diamond Cutt and with the members of a former teen band he was in named "The Stallions," they formed the New Diamond Cutt. Rikki Shawnter, Jacklyn Ixcs, Lynn Deringer, Mark Martin, and Zeke Wyrich. This time they made it in the local scene. With the guidance of manager Jay Miller.
When Shawnter left the band due to contract disputes, they already knew that this was going to happen and with this anticipated they immediately hired the unbeliveable Devin Everson Powers, a man with a voice that will NEVER be matched.
Then Martin was beginning to miss practices due to a progressive problem with alcohol. He was drinking heavily and was not being very productive anymore, and Jay Miller fired Martin. They found a bassists with the help of David Hayes, former Dragon bassists who declined the offer. They met with Tony Carbajo, his bass skills were a bit crude but damn could he write and his playing improved with the help of a close friend of his named Brooke Lyndzie, who became the keyboardist for the band.
Jacklyn and Lynn couldn't get along, however, when Miller fired Ixcs for starting a fist fight, Deringer also said, "If that bitch goes, I do too." so Miller said, "Go."
Being the strategist Miller was he quickly found replacements for both members. Gregg Tucker and Rick Stipancich. Stipancich was not going to work out, they realized after two months. Heavily into drugs he was not working. They found A guitarist with a local band named Wylde Chylde at a Northeast Bar named Saigon 7, which is no longer in existence. She was approached by assistant manager at the time Tami Lake, and immediately accepted the offer to join Diamond Cutt. She even walked off the job at the bar.
In 1990 Jay Miller decided he had enough and let the band know that they needed to find a replacement for him. However, he told them he would stay on till they found someone.
At first the bands assistant manager declined the offer to become the manager. But after persitence by the band she finally accepted the position and Miller left the band with no ill feelings, and he reamained good friends (also the brother of Zeke Wyrich). When the band changed their name to Fallen Angel due to another band named Diamond Cut, they changed their entire image. Unknowing to a lot of people, drummer Zeke Wyrich grew a moustache and pierced his ear and began to wear sunglasses, he was then known as Tiko Montana the "Hollywood" of Kansas City. And members came to the band with tryouts for various positions. And in 2005 they settled on a name and an image and permament members.
